Welcome to Geraldton Harriers

Geraldton Harriers is a non-profit community organisation providing a fun and sociable environment to promote health and fitness. We organise walking and running events in and around Geraldton, Western Australia. We offer courses suitable for all ages and abilities ranging from 2kms up to full marathons.

All runners and walkers regardless of ability are welcome to attend. Most courses are pram friendly so the whole family can join in. Junior participation is encouraged whether it be walk, cycle, scooter or run at their own level of fitness and ability.

The weekly event locations are listed in the Events page. The event locations include the peninsular of Geraldton, beautiful foreshore development of Champion Bay, the scenic Moresby Ranges, iconic rural farm/homestead settings, panoramic riverside venues and many local urban courses.

The Harriers season runs from April to September. Our events begin at 8:20 am on Sunday mornings with the Registration and Briefing. The actual Event starts at 8:30 am for long walkers and 9.00am for all runners and short walkers. We always welcome new faces, and encourage participation within the sport.

RECYCLE Your Family’s Old Shoes....
Geraldton Harriers is having a sports shoe collection is this week at our event at Spalding Park Golf Club, Sunday 20th May.
Inspired by the recent actions of the WAMC, Geraldton Harriers Club members are asked to donate their old runners to the Western Australian Centre for Rural Health and the Geraldton Sporting Aboriginal Corporation.
You might like to prepare your sports shoe donations by:
1. Check they have reasonable wear left in them
2. Throw them through the wash (perhaps protected by an old pillowslip)
3. Mark them with the size (perhaps on sticky tape around the laces)
4. Tie the laces together so that your shoes stay buddied up.
The corporation has already handed out sneakers to children without proper sports shoes at Mitchell Street Community Centre, Bluff Point Primary School, local basketball clubs for people under 17, and netball players at Mullewa District High School.
